Velvet Rope and Event Barricade Rental in Vancouver

Our British Columbia stock sits in Vancouver, which makes this the shortest delivery we run and the easiest city to serve at short notice. Product launches downtown, conferences at the convention centre, hotel galas, festival gates in the parks and film units that need a clean perimeter — they draw on the same inventory, and most of them want it for one or two days.

Delivery inside the City of Vancouver starts at $120. Everything else in Metro Vancouver is priced by distance from here, so the further out the event, the higher the minimum — the calculator shows the figure for your city before you send anything.

What Vancouver events take out most

Rope stanchions in gold, black or silver, strung with 5ft velvet ropes in red, white, black, pink or navy, are $19 per stanchion per day and do the work at entrances, reserved rows and step-and-repeat walls. Retractable belt stanchions cost the same $19 and carry an 8ft belt each — the tool for registration, badge collection and any line that has to bend around a lobby.

A red carpet runner begins at $60 in the 4x10ft size. For anything outdoors, 7ft x 4ft galvanized barricades are $39 each and 25lb sandbags are $15 — worth ordering with the barricades rather than after the first gust. Sign holders and stanchion sign toppers hold an 8.5x11 sheet at $10.

Rain is a barricade problem, not a stanchion problem

Indoor equipment does not care what the forecast says. Outdoor equipment does: a barricade line on an exposed plaza or a seawall event needs ballast, and sandbags are the difference between a perimeter and a set of panels lying flat. Order one per exposed leg rather than guessing after setup, because that is the item nobody wants to send a truck back for.

Velvet rope and carpet are the opposite — they go out clean and they are expected back clean, so for anything on wet ground, plan a covered approach or use the belt posts instead.

What the delivery charge includes

One figure, both trips. It covers the drop-off and the collection after the event, and it is charged once. Setup is a separate option you either tick or leave alone, and the equipment on an order has to total $150 before tax and delivery are added.

Downtown deliveries are decided by the building

A hotel with a dock is a fifteen-minute delivery. A tower with a booked freight elevator, a loading bay shared with three other tenants and a security desk that needs names in advance is not, and the difference has nothing to do with the equipment.

Tell us the building, the entrance, the elevator booking and who is meeting the driver, all in the notes field. It is the single most useful thing on a Vancouver order and it costs nothing to include.

See the number first

Build the order in the calculator — items, quantity, days, delivery or pickup — and it totals it with 12% BC tax included, then sends it to us.

Questions we get from Vancouver

Do you deliver outside the City of Vancouver?

Yes, across Metro Vancouver — Burnaby, Richmond, New Westminster, the North Shore, the Tri-Cities, Delta, Surrey, Langley, White Rock, Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. Each has its own minimum, and the calculator shows yours as soon as you pick the city.

Can equipment go into a downtown tower with no loading bay?

Usually, but tell us first. Put the building, the entrance and any elevator booking in the notes field. A tower with a booked freight elevator and a fifteen-minute window is a different delivery from a hotel with a dock, and we would rather plan it than discover it.

Is self pickup available in Vancouver?

Yes, and it is free. Choose self pickup in the calculator and the delivery charge comes off the total. The address and the pickup window are confirmed when the order is.
