Colour is a decision about the event, not the room

Red is ceremony and reads as an occasion in photographs. Black is design — launches, automotive, fashion, anything with a dark brand palette — and it disappears in a dim venue, so it needs light. Blue photographs cooler and suits corporate and sporting events. Green is themed work and is made to size rather than pulled off a list.

Sizes we stock

Red comes in 4x10ft, 6x10ft, 6x15ft and 6x25ft. Black is a single 6x20ft. Blue is a 6x40ft — the longest runner we carry. Green is quoted per event, so send the dimensions with your dates.

Width first: 4ft suits a single doorway with a photographer to one side, 6ft is what you need for two people abreast or a step-and-repeat behind the arrival. Then length, measured from where guests actually leave the car or the lobby to the entrance.

Order posts with the carpet

A runner on its own is a rug. Rope stanchions down each side hold the edge straight, stop people cutting across and frame the shot. One post every 5ft plus one at each end — a 6x15ft runner wants about eight posts, four a side.

What they will not do

Rain. A soaked runner is heavy, marks and photographs badly, so if the approach is exposed keep the carpet inside the doors and start the rope line outside them. Nothing is cut, taped or trimmed on site: it arrives rolled, it goes back rolled, and it goes out again to the next event.
