Green Carpet Runner

A dark green runner for events that need a colour rather than a convention: sustainability launches, sporting and turf-themed activations, brands whose identity is green, and the occasional film or television premiere that wants anything except red.

Green is the one runner we do not price in the calculator. Sizes are made to the event rather than pulled off a standard list, so the total depends on the dimensions you need and the dates you need them on.

Send the length, the width and the rental dates through the calculator or the contact form and we will come back with a figure. Everything else on the order — posts, ropes, signage, delivery — prices normally, so a quote for the carpet is the only thing you are waiting on.

Plan the width around the walk

The same rules apply as for any runner. Four feet suits a single doorway; six feet is what you want for two people abreast or for a photo wall behind the arrival. Length runs from where guests arrive to where the entrance is, not to where it would look tidiest.

Green pairs badly with gold posts and well with black or silver. If the event has a step-and-repeat, check the backdrop colour before deciding — green against green photographs as a single flat plane.

Lead time

Because it is made to size, this is the item to ask about first rather than last. Send the dimensions as soon as the floor plan is settled and we will tell you honestly what is possible for your date.

Green on camera

Two things are worth settling before the colour is signed off. A large green surface under strong light throws a tint upward, and it shows on faces in photographs taken low and close to the carpet. And a green saturated enough to read as a screen is a green that an editor will notice. Dark green is the safer end of the range for both reasons.

When the dimensions are unusual

Because this one is quoted rather than listed, it is also the runner to ask about when the size is not on anybody's standard list — a width the stock sizes do not cover, or a walk longer than the 40ft of the longest runner we keep. Ask with the dimensions in hand and the answer is a real one either way, which is more useful than finding out in the week of the event.
