Stanchion Rentals
Gold Rope Stanchions
per stanchion, per day
Gold posts with a 5ft velvet rope between them. This is the classic VIP arrangement — the one people picture when they hear the phrase red carpet — and it is what most galas, award nights, product launches and premium store openings use at the door.
Each stanchion comes with a rope in your choice of red, white, black, pink or navy. Red is the default and the one that reads as an occasion in photographs; black is the quieter option when the room is already busy; white and pink both photograph well against dark carpet and both mark quickly, so they suit indoor use rather than a pavement.
How many you need
A rope spans 5ft, so count one post for every five feet of line and add one to close the end. A 30ft run is seven posts and six ropes. A doorway with a rope on each side is four posts and two ropes. If the line has to turn a corner, the corner post carries two ropes and nothing else changes.
Rope is deliberately less efficient than belt for the same distance — more posts, closer together. That rhythm is the point: it is what makes an entrance look arranged rather than managed.
What to watch for
Gold shows fingerprints and scuffs more than black or silver, which is exactly why it belongs at an entrance and not around a loading route. The bases are weighted discs designed for hard floors — on a lawn they sink and on gravel they rock, so outdoor use wants matting underneath or barricades instead.
Velvet does not like rain. If your arrival is exposed, plan a covered approach or use the black belt posts for the outdoor half of the queue and keep the gold for the door.
