Silver Belt Stanchions

$19.00 CAD

per stanchion, per day

The same retractable post as the black version — a weighted base and an 8ft belt that pulls out and clips to the next post — in a brushed silver finish. It suits rooms where the equipment should look like part of the building rather than part of the crowd control: office lobbies, showrooms, hotel foyers, anywhere with a lot of glass and pale stone.

⚠ These are stocked in Toronto. For a Vancouver event they are available on request rather than off the shelf, so ask before you plan a room around them — the black posts are in both cities and are otherwise identical.

What the finish changes

Nothing structural. Same 8ft span, same base, same belt mechanism, same price per day. The decision is purely what the room should look like, and silver is the option that disappears against light interiors while black anchors against dark ones.

Mixing finishes in one line looks like a mistake rather than a choice, so order one or the other for any single run and use the other elsewhere if you need both.

Counting

One post per 8ft of line, plus one to close it. A 24ft check-in line is four posts. A doorway with a post on each side is two. Registration desks with two positions want a line for each and a way to merge them, which in practice is six posts rather than four.

If you are not sure, order the larger version. Belt posts are the cheapest item on most orders and the one nobody has ever regretted having a spare pair of.

Two rooms where silver is the wrong call

Dark ones, first. A black post in a dark room recedes; a silver one catches every downlight, and the eye goes to the equipment instead of to the entrance it is marking. Second, rooms that are already full of brushed steel — a lift lobby, an open kitchen, a bar front. There the post stops reading as a boundary and starts reading as part of the fittings, which is exactly the thing a queue post must not do.

Booking silver for a Vancouver date

Ask first, and keep black in your own plan as the fallback. On request means we confirm the posts for your date rather than pull them off a shelf, so the answer depends on the date and on what is already out. Pricing is not the question — the calculator prices the order either way. Availability is, and the contact form settles it faster than guessing.
