Privacy Policy

This page explains what Stanchion Rentals — a trading name of I Love Events Canada Inc., the company accountable for personal information collected here — does with the information you send us. It is short because what we do is short: we take what you type into one of two forms, we email it to ourselves so we can answer you, and that is the whole of it.

What we collect

There are exactly two places on this site where you can send us anything.

The price calculator. When you send a request it carries your email address, which is the only field we insist on, plus your name and phone number if you filled them in. Alongside those it carries the order you built: the items, how many of each, how many days, whether you chose pickup or delivery, the delivery city and address if you gave one, any delivery or collection windows, whether you asked for setup, your rental dates, anything you typed in the notes box, and the estimate the calculator worked out.

The contact form. Your email address, again required, plus your name, phone number and comment if you provided them.

Nothing else is collected. We do not run analytics, advertising pixels or session recording, and this site sets no cookies of its own.

Why we have it

To answer you, to quote the job, and to organise the delivery if you go ahead. That is the only use. We do not sell it, rent it or share it for anyone else's marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you asked for a price.

Who else handles it

Two suppliers see it in passing. The company that hosts this site receives the form submission and keeps a copy in the site's own account, and a transactional email service delivers that submission to our inbox. Both act on our instructions and neither uses your information for anything of their own.

Those services may process or store data outside Canada. If that matters to you, phone or email us instead of using the forms and nothing goes through them at all.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into a booking are kept while they are still useful to answer and then deleted. Where an enquiry becomes an order, the record is kept as long as our tax and accounting obligations require. You can ask us to delete an enquiry sooner and we will, unless it is attached to an order we still have to account for.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law you can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Email info@stanchionrentals.ca and we will answer. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a request, you can raise it with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

This is a business-to-business rental service. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. There is no separate notification, so the date is the thing to check.
