Stanchion Rentals
Sign Holders (Floor Standing)
per holder, per day
A weighted base, an adjustable-height stem and a frame that holds a standard 8.5x11 sheet. It stands wherever you put it, which is the whole point — signage that does not need a wall, a table, an easel borrowed from the venue or a stanchion underneath it.
Where a free-standing sign beats the alternatives
At a decision point. The lift landing where guests do not know which way the room is, the corner where two corridors meet, the entrance to a session, the top of an escalator. None of those have a post in them and most do not have a usable wall.
It also solves the seating chart and the sponsor board without anyone taping anything to a surface the venue cares about — which is a conversation most planners have had at least once.
Height and legibility
The stem adjusts, and the useful setting is standing eye level rather than as high as it goes. A sheet at eye level is read at a glance; the same sheet at chest height is read by people already stopped, and above head height it is read by nobody.
Because the frame takes ordinary letter paper, artwork is whatever your printer produces. Portrait is the safer orientation for wayfinding — a single arrow and three words — and landscape suits an agenda or a table plan.
Outdoors
The base is weighted for indoor use. Outdoors on a still day it is fine; on an exposed forecourt it needs a sandbag over the base or it will go over, and a sign on its face in a puddle is worse than no sign at all.
How many a venue actually needs
Fewer than the list you started with, and in different places. Walk the route a guest takes from the front door: every point where they could go two ways is a sign, and everywhere else is decoration. A single-room event is usually two — one at the entrance, one at the desk. A conference across two floors is closer to eight, and most of those belong at lifts and stairs rather than at doorways.
Holders and toppers together
Where a queue already exists, a sign mounted on the stanchion carries the message without adding an object to the floor, and it moves with the line as the line grows. The free-standing holder is for the places the queue has not reached: the approach, the overflow room, the door people leave by. Ordering some of each is normal, and they price as separate lines.
