Stanchion Rentals in Markham

Markham's event calendar is driven by head offices. Product launches, AGMs, client showcases, demo days — the guest list is small compared to a festival, but almost everything gets photographed, which changes what the equipment has to do. A queue here is not just a queue; it is the thing standing behind your media wall in every picture taken that evening.

We deliver across the city from our Toronto depot, starting at $150 for the round trip.

Equipment that stays out of the photograph

Retractable belt stanchions are the quiet option: one post, an 8ft belt, no visual clutter, and they handle registration desks, demo queues and photo-op lines at $19 per stanchion per day. For the evening half of the event, rope stanchions in chrome or gold with 5ft velvet ropes cost the same $19 per day and frame an entrance rather than fencing it.

A red carpet runner from $60 for a 4x10ft gives an arrival shot a foreground. Sign holders at $10 each put the agenda, the sponsor logo or the room number where people are already looking. Outdoors — a parking-lot activation or a campus event — 7ft x 4ft barricades are $39 each with 25lb sandbags at $15.

Working out quantity from a floor plan

Belt posts are counted by span. Each belt reaches 8ft, so a 32ft switchback needs five posts, not eight. Rope is counted the same way at 5ft a span, which is why the same run costs more in rope than in belt — more posts, tighter spacing, and a deliberately different look.

Registration is the one place to over-order slightly. A desk with two check-in points wants a line for each and a way to merge them, and a spare pair of posts on the floor is cheaper than a queue that folds back into the doorway during the first ten minutes.

Delivery, collection and minimums

The $150 minimum is one figure covering the trip out and the trip back, charged once. Setup is optional. The equipment on an order needs to total $150 before tax and delivery are added.

Two things launches forget

The first is the exit. Every launch plans the entrance and photographs it, and then the same guests leave through a doorway with nothing marking it while catering is trying to come the other way. Two posts and a rope at the exit costs almost nothing and stops the only genuine bottleneck most of these events have.

The second is signage height. A sign holder puts an 8.5x11 sheet at standing eye level, which is where people read it; the same sheet taped to a table is read by nobody. If the room needs wayfinding, order the holders with the posts rather than deciding on the day.

Questions we get from Markham

Will the posts match our brand colours?

The posts come in gold, black and silver, and the velvet ropes in red, white, black, pink or navy — that is the range. If a launch needs a specific colour beyond it, ask before you plan the shot list rather than after.

Do you deliver to the conference hotels on the Highway 7 corridor?

Yes, and to the office campuses and golf clubs around them. Delivery to Markham starts at $150. Venue dock rules go in the notes field.

What arrives with a rope stanchion?

The post and the rope, ready to hook on. Ropes are 5ft, so count one post for every five feet of line plus one to finish it — a 30ft run is seven posts and six ropes.
