Stanchion Rentals in Richmond, BC
Richmond is Metro Vancouver's gateway, and its event market is shaped by that. Conference and hotel work clusters around YVR, gala and show nights run at River Rock, the Olympic Oval takes sporting and corporate events at a scale most venues cannot, and the shopping districts keep a steady run of retail activations going. Airport-adjacent events are queue-heavy by nature: registration, badge pickup, shuttle lines, three of them at once.

Queues first, everything else second
Retractable belt stanchions handle nearly all of it — an 8ft belt on each post, reconfigurable in seconds, $19 per stanchion per day. Evening events at the casino and hotel venues switch to chrome or gold rope stanchions with 5ft velvet ropes at the same $19 per day, with a red carpet runner from $60 for a 4x10ft where there is a camera at the door.
Oval-scale events add 7ft x 4ft galvanized barricades at $39 each with 25lb sandbags at $15 for perimeters and VIP corridors. Sign holders at $10 each keep wayfinding and sponsor boards presentable, and take a standard 8.5x11 sheet, so signage can be printed in the venue's business centre if plans change.
Three queues, one delivery
The efficient way to order for a conference is to count every line at once — registration, badge pickup, the coffee bottleneck, the shuttle door — and send them as a single request. Delivery is charged per trip, not per line, so splitting an event across two orders on two days pays twice for the same road.
If the shuttle queue is outdoors, treat it as an outdoor line: barricade the edge nearest the road and use belt posts only where staff are standing.
What the charge covers
$140 is one round-trip figure — delivered and collected, billed once — with setup optional on top. Equipment on the order has to add up to $150 before tax and delivery go on.
Signage that survives a bilingual room
Wayfinding here often has to work in more than one language, which makes the format matter more than the wording. An 8.5x11 sheet in a floor-standing holder takes two languages at a readable size; the same content on a topper above a stanchion takes one. Split them: direction on the holders at standing height, room or session names on the toppers.
Print the sheets yourself and slide them in. The holders take a standard page, so a change of room an hour before doors is a reprint, not a problem.
Keep a spare set of blank sheets with the holders. Sessions move, and the sign that is wrong by ten in the morning is the one guests trust for the rest of the day.

Can you work to a hotel dock schedule?
Yes. Give us the dock window in the delivery time fields and the venue contact in the notes. Airport-area hotels run tight loading schedules and we would rather arrive inside yours than wait behind a catering truck.
How many posts does a badge-pickup line need?
Count the queue in feet, not people. Belt spans 8ft per post, so a 48ft line is seven posts. Add two if the line has to split into an A–M and N–Z desk.
Do you cover Steveston and the industrial parks?
Yes — City Centre, the airport hotels, Steveston and the parks along No. 5 and No. 6 Road are all one zone, from $140.
